Day Stays Consistent Atop National Rankings

After a week of consistent performances with the All Star Circuit of Champions last week, California teenager Corey Day remains at the top of the National Sprint Car Rankings. Gravel, who won his 10th race of the season Sunday at Weedsport (N.Y.) Speedway, has an average finish of 4.896 in 49 events. Ninety-three drivers have made the 20 starts required to be eligible for the rankings and 788 racers have run a winged 410 sprint car race this season. Freddie Rahmer holds the top spot in the Eastern region, while Joe B. Miller has a commanding advantage in the Mid-America region. A seven-time feature winner this season, Cap Henry leads the Great Lakes region, with Dobmeier on top of the Great Plains region.
