David Alonso brilliantly broke free of an intense lead battle to dominate the opening round of the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup in Portimão. At the beginning we had some fights, I did well in the fight so tomorrow if we have to fight again we are strong. “The bike was very good, only for tomorrow, depending on the wind we might change the gearing but the setting of the bike is perfect I really liked it. “I feel very good, it is my first race in the Red Bull Rookies Cup and my first podium,” enthused Moreira. “The next race I can win but I need to improve my start. “I am happy, I did a good race and I had made a good job yesterday with the set-up of the bike. Tomorrow I will try to race with David (Alonso) and go with him.”.
