Danica Patrick To Drive Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Pace Car

Trail-blazing motorsports icon Danica Patrick will drive the 2021 mid-engine Chevrolet Corvette Stingray hardtop convertible at the 105th Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge on Sunday, May 30, returning to the track where she made racing history. “I am very honored to drive the Corvette Stingray Pace Car this year at the Indy 500,” Patrick said. I’m also excited to again be a part of the NBC broadcast team for the race. Driving the Corvette Stingray convertible will be part of a busy Race Day for Patrick at IMS. Chevrolet and Corvette have led the starting field more than any other manufacturer and nameplate, respectively. The 2021 race marks the 32nd time for Chevrolet to pace dating back to 1948, and the 18th time since 1978 for America’s favorite sports car. Chevrolet was founded in 1911, the year of the inaugural 500-mile race.
