Custer Loses Crew Chief For One Race

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Six NASCAR Cup Series teams were issued penalties for lug nut infractions on Tuesday, which included a one-race suspension for Stewart-Haas Racing crew chief Mike Shiplett. As a result, Shiplett was fined $20,000 and suspended for one race. • No. 19 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota (crew chief James Small)
• No. Allmendinger to victory in Saturday’s Xfinity Series race, was fined $5,000 for one unsecured lug nut.
