LAKELAND, Fla. — Massachusetts racer Jeff Champagne has lined up a busy winter season for the remainder of this year and the start of the next. After being “fogged-out” from this past weekend’s Panhandle Clash Midget race at the Pensacola Dirt Track, Champagne’s next drive comes December 30th and 31st with the running of the 24th Annual Rumble in Fort Wayne, In,. For this year’s event, Champagne will again be driving the No. 61 Kenyon/Gaerte Midget for the “King of the Midgets,” Mel Kenyon. “Those laps increased my seat-time, giving me added experience in a different midget on a different dirt surface. During last year’s event our only blunder happened during our qualifying time.
