Carlos Sainz secures his first EVER F1 win in chaotic British Grand Prix as Lewis Hamilton secures a podium after Max Verstappen’s car issues – with race overshadowed by Zhou Guanyu’s horror flip

Carlos Sainz won a pulsating British Grand Prix – after a horrifying 160mph smash caused a long delay to the race. Sainz and Hamilton pit for soft tyres, but Leclerc stays out on the hard tyre. LAP 33/52: Also it looks like being a repeat of last year too, where Hamilton also chased down Leclerc to win the race. LAP 25/52: Leclerc pits, big cheers as Hamilton takes the lead of a race for the first time this season.. LAP 23/52: Hamilton is now just under 1.5 seconds behind Leclerc – I make him favourite for this race you know. LAP 20/52: “Sainz has been told to push” is what Leclerc is told over the radio. LAP 3/52: Heavy defence from Sainz JUST sees off Verstappen’s challenge.
