The eSports WRC Championship, presented by Toyota Gazoo Racing, returns to Europe this weekend (16-19 April) for Rally Germany which also doubles as the first true asphalt rally of the season. As he has all season, Seventh Gear E-Sport Club driver Sami-Joe will enter the rally as hot favourite. In the team’s championship, the title race is quickly developing into a battle between two teams: Seventh Gear E-Sport Club and 2020 champions Race Clutch. Seventh Gear E-Sport Club currently hold a slender 14-point advantage, after only two drivers finished in the points in New Zealand. “Mika [Mihalo] got a cold but luckily his covid test was negative and Peter (Subee 203) had some technical issues which have been fixed for the next race, so all five drivers pilots will push the limits again,” explained Seventh Gear team manager Imre Márton.
