BTCC RECAP: JANUARY

Although January wasn’t particularly packed with news regarding the 2022 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship, there were a number of announcements that could prove pivotal in the upcoming campaign. After a fruitful maiden campaign with the Suffolk-based outfit, a popular announcement saw Ingram confirm a new multi-year deal that will see him stick with the team until at least the end of 2023. Team HARD announced that 2021 sponsor YAZOO would be committing to a title partner programme for this year’s campaign, with two of the squad’s CUPRA Leon’s running under the YAZOO with Team HARD. The official BTCC website published an exclusive interview with Ciceley Motorsport’s Adam Morgan during January, with the Lancastrian discussing his expectations for the 2022 season, how he’s learning from his first year in the BMW and more.
