The third event of the 2022 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship is just around the corner and Britain’s premier motorsport series is revving up to head to the fastest circuit in the UK, Thruxton, this weekend (28/29 May). Just under a fortnight since Brands Hatch Indy produced a trio of enthralling races, the tin-top action returns to Hampshire, the scene of this year’s Season Launch, for the first of two visits on the 2022 calendar. Cook’s record of seven victories on the 2.36-mile circuit is matched by just one other driver on the grid – Halfords Racing with Cataclean’s Gordon Shedden – and the Rich Energy BTC Racing driver will no doubt be hoping to maintain his reputation, while Bracknell-based Dan Cammish could be another to watch, with eight podium-finishes tallied in five visits to the Hampshire speedbowl.
