Elfyn Evans won Rally Turkey after a mad final leg on Sunday to regain the lead of the FIA World Rally Championship. He eased his Toyota Yaris through the remaining three tests for a third career victory by 35.2sec. Team-mate and championship leader Sébastien Ogier retired from third in the penultimate stage with engine problems, handing Evans an 18-point lead with two rounds remaining. Overnight leader Thierry Neuville finished second in a Hyundai i20 with team-mate Sébastien Loeb a further 24.2sec adrift in third. Neuville won the live TV Wolf Power Stage to collect five bonus points. Team-mate Ott Tänak was second to claim four points, with Kalle Rovanperä taking three in third in a Yaris.
