Nine-time F1 Grand Prix winner Valtteri Bottas has a simple message for the WRC drivers, ahead of next month’s inaugural Arctic Rally Finland, powered by CapitalBox. The 31-year-old Mercedes-AMG Petronas driver was recently in Rovaniemi – the same location for next month’s Arctic Rally Finland – to participate in the Arctic Rally Lapland, finishing sixth alongside former world champion co-driver Timo Rautiainen in a Citroën DS 3 World Rally Car. Prior to the event, he spoke of his hopes for the then-upcoming rally, as well as his excitement at the news that the WRC would be heading north of the Arctic Circle for the championship’s only pure winter rally, set to take place on similar snow-covered roads to those used in Arctic Rally Lapland. “Obviously, it is a good thing for Finland and I’m sure all the guys driving here – all the teams – they are going to love the place.
