Carlos Sainz warns against McLaren setting any targets before the start of F1 pre-season testing.
Sainz was on hand to help unveil McLaren’s MCL34 F1 car ahead of the 2019 F1 world championship, alongside rookie teammate Lando Norris, at the team’s launch presentation at its Woking base.
Sainz was keen to calm McLaren’s expectations and wants a solid preparation from pre-season testing before setting any targets for this season.
“I think it would be a big mistake to set ourselves goals at this stage of the year,” Carlos Sainz said.
