GO-KARTER Jarlath Sayer has come up with an excellent way to help fellow children forced to flee war-torn Ukraine. The eight-year-old approached Lewis Hamilton’s old track, Rye House in Hertfordshire, about putting on a sponsored endurance race to raise money for refugees. The race will be held on the 28th June and will be part of the build-up to the 2022 British Grand Prix. A total of 26 teams will race in a ‘Le Mans’ style event, led by professional racing drivers and celebrities to raise money for the charity UNHCR for Ukrainian refugees. Jarlath, who is currently in the British Karting championship for the Jamie Green Racing team, has devised other fundraising ideas with help from his school.
