Best Of: Darlington Throwbacks

This weekend at Darlington (S.C.) Raceway, the cars on track will display an eclectic collection of throwback paint schemes, paying homage to the days and drivers of old. The yellow-and-black paint scheme, adorned with the DEWALT logo, pays tribute to the Hall of Fame driver and his 2003 NASCAR Cup Series championship. 10 Ford will feature the paint scheme from Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s 2001 win at Daytona Int’l Speedway in his No. Defending Cup Series champion Joey Logano will run a red, white and blue paint scheme on his No. Ryan Preece is one of a few drivers honoring their “first heroes” — their fathers. Ty Gibbs will feature the paint scheme Bobby Labonte ran on his No. 1 Trackhouse Racing brown, white and yellow paint scheme will pay homage to Dale Jarrett’s No.
