Belgian Grand Prix LIVE RESULTS: Practice begins as season gets back on track – stream, TV channel, start times

THE F1 season gets back on track today with the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps. Lewis Hamilton leads rival Max Verstappen by eight points at the halfway point of a nail-biting season. That could explain Max Verstappen’s slow Sector 3 that denied him top spot with that lap. Max Verstappen follows him through on the Softs – but is SLOWER than Bottas. A 1:45.199 sends him top with a gap to Max Verstappen of about 0.8 seconds – that won’t be enough. On the Hard tyres, Max Verstappen is putting in consistently quick laps to top the leaderboard. Lewis Hamilton says he is feeling fighting fit and ready to lock horns again with Max Verstappen. Max Verstappen has dismissed doubts over Red Bull’s ability to compete in 2022. Lewis Hamilton leads the championship by eight points after two miserable outings for Max Verstappen, with Mercedes 12 ahead of Red Bull in the Constructors’ standings.
