Bastianini on 2023 crew chief switch: “It will be difficult”

Ducati Lenovo Team’s newest recruit Enea Bastianini has admitted he’s expecting a “difficult” start to life in the factory squad after losing long-time crew chief Alberto Giribuola to KTM. Instead, The Beast will begin a new relationship with Johann Zarco’s former crew chief Marco Rigamonti. That news, understandably, coming to the disappointment of Bastianini, who will see his “really strong bond” with Giribuola broken. “But with Alby [Alberto Giribuola] the bond is really strong. Dario [Massarin – Data Engineer] will and I think we can do some really good work, especially with my new crew chief, Riga [Marco Rigamonti]. “With Alby the relationship is really nice and with Riga at the start it will be difficult. With Rigamonti moving up to the factory squad with Bastianini, Frenchman Johann Zarco will renew his working relationship with Massimo Branchini.
