Australia’s last world champion Alan Jones says Daniel Ricciardo will NEVER race in Formula One again because he spends too much time concentrating on life away from the track

Aussie Formula One legend Alan Jones has made the sensational call that Daniel Ricciardo has been too focused on outside interests and will never race at F1 level again. Jones was the last Australian to win a Formula One driver’s title with Williams in 1980 and he told fellow world champion Damon Hill that he believed Ricciardo would not get a drive in 2023 and would struggle to find a new position beyond that. ‘I don’t think he will get a drive at Red Bull unless something happens to the two current drivers, I can’t see him doing a Grand Prix,’ Jones said. ‘As I said before, I just can’t see him getting back into Formula One. ‘I think he can go on to be world champion,’  Jones said. ‘I would say it’s 50-50 if he will ever get back in an F1 car at the moment,’ Hill said.
