Jason Anderson turned a hot lap late in the second qualifying session of the day at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., to take his second fast-qualifier award of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross season. The Monster Energy Kawasaki rider filed a 47.707-second lap time on his No. Last week’s winner Chase Sexton was second with a 48.168-second lap time. Notably, the Honda HRC rider earned his first career Supercross victory in New Jersey in 2019 — while contending in the 250SX East class — so he’ll be looking to repeat some of the magic. He returned for the second round, putting in a best lap time of 48.930 seconds.
