Anderson Earns First ASCS Sooner Trophy

SAPULPA, Okla. – After coming up just shy so many times, Brandon Anderson was not going to be denied on Sunday night. Taking off third, Anderson and Sean McClelland battled through the opening laps for second while Blake Hahn took off with the lead. After a red flag on lap three for Kade Morton, the restart saw McClelland go to work on Hahn for the point. Hahn soon put distance on McClelland before red lights came on again on lap seven for Charlie Crumpton. Shooting three wide, Anderson took over the top spot as the caution lights blinked on. Throwing bombs through traffic to keep Timms at bay, Anderson worked by several slower cars before the caution came out again on lap 20. Slowed again on lap 22, Anderson pulled away from Timms by .612 seconds at the finish.
