Adamo anger subsides after Hyundai’s Arctic recovery

Hyundai Motorsport team principal Andrea Adamo has praised his squad’s commitment in bouncing back from a difficult season opener at last month’s Arctic Rally Finland Powered by CapitalBox. Adamo was critical of his team’s preparations for Rallye Monte-Carlo after a disappointing start to its defence of the FIA World Rally Championship manufacturers’ title left the Korean squad trailing 22 points adrift of Toyota Gazoo Racing. Ott Tänak scored his second win with the team and Thierry Neuville finished third to narrow Toyota’s lead to 11 points. “Ott’s drive was amazing, Thierry started third on the road and finished in third place with an amazing stage time here and there – and he did very well in the [Wolf] Power Stage.”.
