A Victory & A Championship For Wil Herrington

– Wil Herrington not only picked up his fifth Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Dirt Late Model Series win of the season on Friday night at Magnolia Motor Speedway, but he also clinched the $10,000 National Championship. Herrington’s win, combined with a 17th-place finish for Corey Dunn, gave Herrington a 200-point lead in the point standings. If Herrington could not run the last two races of the season, and Dunn earned 200 points with a pair of wins, Herrington would win the tiebreaker with five wins to three wins over Dunn in that scenario. “We have had a great season with this being our 17th win with five in this series, and this is also my fourth race here, and we’ve won all four races,” Herrington said.
