After finishing 2021 with a pole position in Valencia, Pramac Racing’s Jorge Martin has kicked off 2022 in the same fashion by claiming P1 in Q2 at the Grand Prix of Qatar. In addition, this is Ducati’s seventh successive pole position in MotoGP™, a sequence that started in Aragon last year, equalling their longest pole sequence from 2008 with Casey Stoner from Catalunya to San Marino. Enea Bastianini (Gresini Racing MotoGP™) has qualified second for his best qualifying result since he stepped up to MotoGP™ last year, as well as his first front row in the class. Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) has qualified third for his first front row since he was also third last year in Austin on his way to winning the race.
