Ferrari CEO Louis Camilleri hopes “flexibility” in the F1 rules helps the famous Maranello team pull itself out of its “hole”. Camilleri agrees that Ferrari’s return to competitiveness will “take time”. “I’m hoping with a bit more flexibility in the regulations next year we can at least step it up from where we are,” he said. “F1 may change next year with a couple of regulations to slow down the cars and take away downforce. “I think it is a difficult challenge but one that I want to do – to get to Ferrari, to do everything I can to improve the car, to guide in the direction that I think is the right one and prepare well for the regulation change in 2022 which for me will be the key for the next years.
